Abstract
A Company must have qualified human resources to be able to compete with other companies of the same sector. Job satisfaction variable is quite an interesting and important factor, it is indicated from the workers’ performance that is related to the work motivation. There are some factors to achieve job satisfaction, and this study has chosen work life balance and job stress as the factors. The study will be subject to some field workers of PT Muri Agung Abadi, a company that deals with building contractor and located in Jakarta. The objective of this study is to find out whether there is an influence of work life balance and job stress to the job satisfaction of field workers of PT Muri Agung Abadi Jakarta. This study has adopted a quantitative method, by collecting the data using questionnaire. The subject of this study is 96 married workers of PT Agung Muri Abadi and a purposive sampling technique is used. The result showed that the efect of work-life balance on job satisfaction with a percentage of 13.7% and adjusted R square 0.137 (t = 4,012, p = 0,000, p < 0,05), working related stress-out and work satisfaction with a percentage of 1,3% and Adjusted R square 0,013 (t = -1,510, p = 0,134, p > 0,05), work life balance and working related stress-out with a percentage of 1,67% and Adjusted R square 0,167 (F = 10,532, p = 0,000, p < 0,05). To sum up this research explains that work-life balance and working related stress-out have a significant influence on working satisfaction. Based on the results of this research, the company should be more flexible for the employees they can have a more balance between work and personal life and it can minimize staff’s frustration as well as maximise their performance.
