Abstract
Bullying has become a phenomenon in educational settings. The number of cases of bullying is inconsistent with its prevention measures. Bullying is increasing at the junior high school level. Schools need an appropriate prevention program to facilitate students in building character and personality in order to prevent bullying behavior. Social-emotional learning (SEL) is an approach that has been proven effective in preventing bullying behavior in adolescents. This study aims to develop an acceptable SEL-based anti-bullying module for Junior High School Students. Five core competencies of The SEL Program are self-awareness, selfmanagement, social awareness, responsible decision making, and relationship skills. This research is a form of research and development, which uses the development model of Borg and Gall (1983). The module is assessed by experts through acceptability test with questionnaire based on three criteria: utility, feasibility, and accuracy. Module validity is analyzed by using Aiken's V Formula. The result showed V value at utility aspect 0,67, aspect of feasibility 0,33-0,67, and accuracy aspect 0,50-0,67, so it is concluded that the whole module has a good content validity. Qualitative data in the form of advice from experts will be a consideration for product revision. The revision of the product is developed by taking into the advice of the expert as well as the theoretical basis. The implications of this study are (1) adolescents need development programs to create positive personalities in order to prevent bullying behavior and (2) schools need a SEL-based anti-bullying module to be developed as a concrete action in the bullying prevention program in middle school.
