Abstract
Successful aging is a term for a successful seniors citizen. Being a successful senior citizen in senescence sure is not something easy to do. The purpose of this research is to identify the achievement process of successful aging seniors citizen at “X” prayer fellowship Sidoarjo. Subject of this research is two active seniors citizen in prayer fellowship and their own life. This research used qualitatitive approach with case study method. This research used interview as a method of data collection. The data were analyzed thematicaly to integrate some of theme from data collection process, to produce the holistic comprehension of successful aging seniors citizen at “X” prayer fellowship Sidoarjo. This research found that functional well, psychological well-being, selective optimalization compensation, and primary secondary control as successful aging aspects at “X” prayer fellowship Sidoarjo’s seniors citizen. Religiosity, spiritual community, and the knowledge about elderly person become the forming factor of successful aging at “X” prayer fellowship Sidoarjo’s seniors citizen. Researcher hopes this research can be a useful information for all elderly person and the middle adulthood to achieve successful aging in their life
