Peranan Ekonomi Digital dalam Membangun Perekonomian Jawa Timur
Abstract
In the last three years, the economy of East Java has been able to grow above 5%, surpassing the
national economic growth, as a result of strong macroeconomic management, structural reforms, and
acceleration of a number of infrastructure projects. However, currently there are still a number of poor people,
unemployment, income inequality, and inequality between regions due to more economic concentration in the
North Coast and Malang. This indicates that, in the near future, the economy of East Java requires a strong
and stable financial and real sectors to be at 6% per annum and it is expected that credit growth is no longer in
the range of 10% per annum. Realizing the occurrence of economic disruption and increasingly intense
business competition map in the era of industry 4.0, many organizations are busy improving themselves and
doing transformation in the fields of business and human resources. This must be done because changes in the
future business landscape will be greatly driven and patterned by the advancement of information technology
that is growing exponentially, including MSMEs that are beginning to use online platforms to expand their
market reach. This qualitative research uses primary data and secondary data with the aim of optimizing the
existence of the digital economy in an effort to realize economic growth 6% per annum by 2020, boost GRDP
per capita and create new jobs.
