ANALISIS PELUANG DAN ANCAMAN FINTECH TERHADAP PROFESI AKUNTAN DAN CALON AKUNTAN SURABAYA

Abstract

Economy is one of the important parts about human civilization right now. Humans showed the effort to manage economy by making a division system that interconnected one to another, one of them are accountings. Along with the development of the era, there are changes occur in how the economics management works. The emergence and development of Financial Technology (FinTech) are fast enough to cause new opportunity and threat. This research was conducted to see how accountants and prospective accountants opinion or acceptance, also to deliver proposals for accountants and prospective accountants against FinTech. The information obtained is utilized for the benefit of accountants, prospective accountants, universities with accounting courses, IAI, and also FinTech developers. This research is qualitative research. There are 13 interviewees (accountants and prospective accountants) equipped with observation to ensure the data obtained. Data was processed by combine literature study and primary data at the same time. Validity test has been done with some test, which are credibility test, transferability test, dependability test, and confirmability test. Testing is conducted during all of the research process. The results of this research is that accountants and prospective accountants, as well as the parties in the economics field get the impact of FinTech existence this 2018. The impact is the rising of opportunities and threats from FinTech along with its rapid development. FinTech brings many changes the way of workings and economy management for accountants and prospective accountants. To deal with that changes, this research proposed some programs for accountants and prospective accountants. There are stages that accountants and prospective accountants can do. That stages are, realized the important of learning or enrich self with knowledge first, change the wrong mindset to the right one, last but not least is to take the right action
