dc.description.abstractHuman resources (HR) have an important role as potential drivers of all company activities. Every company must be able to maintain, maintain and improve the quality of its HR performance. In order to achieve organizational goals, employees need motivation to work more diligently and can improve their performance. Employees have different motivations when they are at a different profit. Self Determination Theory is a theory that studies human motivation. every civil servant in West Halmahera Regency really needs motivation. Motivation will lead to behavior and can have a positive effect on the implementation of employee work in achieving organizational work targets. This study is intended to analyze the influence of Motivation (Self Determination) factors on Proactive Behavior in Civil Servants in West Halmahera Regency. The analysis is carried out through motivational factors (Self Determination) namely Amotivation, Extrinsic Motivation which consists of Extrinsic Social, Material, Introjected Regulation, Identified Regulation, and Intrinsic Motivation. The sample used in this study was in men and women aged 18-55 years who worked as Civil Servants in West Halmahera District with 200 respondents. For processing and analyzing data in this research, that is by using SPSS as software in processing data. The results of the analysis show that the product and service solution statistics (SPSS) with version 22.0 are software for processing data. The empirical findings indicate that the relationship of motivational factors (Self Determination) has a positive and negative influence on proactive behavior. In this study there were only two variables whose hypotheses were accepted and became the focus in influencing proactive behavior. These two variables are Introjected Regulation variables with regression coefficients of 0.242 positive and t sig. amounting to 0.003 <0.05, and Identified Regulation has a positive effect on Proactive behavior with regression coefficients of 0.221 and tig. 0.023 <t sig. 0.05. While the other four variables are rejected with total sig. as follows: Amotivation hypothesis is rejected by t sig. amounting to 0.224> 0.05, Extrinsic Social with t sig. 0.126> 0.05, Extrinsic Material with tig. amounting to 0.535> 0.05, and Intrinsic Motivation with t sig. amounting to 0.185> 0.05en_US
