The use of Literature incorporated in ELT is often considered inappropriate. This paper attempts to defend the use of Bible as core Literature in TEFL from Christian Education perspective. It uses interdisciplinary approach from literature, language teaching, and Christian worldview to discuss the significance of Literature is teaching English language and the defense of Bible as Literature. Arguments on the importance of Bible as core literature in TEFL will be noted, then at the end there will be discussion on the principles of assessment. | en_US |
