Legal protection carried out by children is a child's right, because children have the right to obtain protection from family, community, and government. Therefore the rights and responsibilities of parents are obliged to provide protection to their children, so that children are free to develop in a healthy and reasonable condition free to express opinions. Children are forced to follow the wishes of their parents as in the case of a child who wishes to convert but his parents are prohibited by treating neglect to this child, this is clearly contrary to Article 42 paragraph (2) of the Child Protection Act on Religion and Article 76B of the Child Protection Act on Abuse. The research method used is the normative method. The results of this study indicate that in the Child Protection Act has provided legal protection as well as the requirements contained in the religion that has been followed before, but in the Human Rights Act has not specifically regulates the legal protection of minors who convert.en_US
