EVALUASI SISTEM PENGGAJIAN DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE BEHAVIORALLY ANCHOR RATING SCALE (BARS) PADA RESTORAN DI SURABAYA
Abstract
Human Resources (HR) are an important component in the company. In order to produce maIBCimum HR performance, the company needs a good payroll system. Restaurant IBC is one of the legendary restaurants in Surabaya. It has hundreds of employees and already had a good payroll system. However, the payroll system results do not accurate yet in assessing performance. Based on this problem, the author proposed a method for evaluating performance by using Behaviorally Anchor Rating Scale (BARS). Through this method, the determination/increase of salary can be measured more accurately. This research used qualitative method by analyzing the payroll system, performance appraisal system, and analyzing the positions of the waitress, kitchen, and cashier of Restaurant IBC.
The study results indicate that the payroll system and performance appraisal system in Restaurant IBC are good, but it will be better if performance appraisals are applied more often and use more sensitive assessment forms. This aims to maintain the accuracy of the results of the performance appraisal. The researcher also designed the performance appraisal form using the BARS method and received a positive response from the assessor and the party assessed. This BARS method can be used for similar companies or other service companies, and also a reference for further research studies about BARS method.
