Abstract
Banking position in financial traffic gives importance to the economic development of a country, so important that the smoothness of the activity of financial traffic determines the economic resilience of a country that leads to national resilience. Seeing the importance of this sector of financial traffic, the state represented by the government took steps to form a state high institution that conducts supervision, guidance and regulators in the field of monetary, payment, and banking. This institution is Bank Indonesia. Bank Indonesia has a comprehensive function in maintaining the smoothness and stability of the Indonesian economy as a whole and integrated. However, since 2011, Bank Indonesia has taken part of its authority in conducting banking supervision and supervision by the Financial Services Authority. With the lack of authority possessed by Bank Indonesia by the Financial Services Authority, it is necessary for Bank Indonesia to continue functioning as a guardian of the state's economic stability, especially in the face of problems arising within the scope of its authority, or outside its scope of authority. The research method used is normative juridical that is effort to find problem solving by researching and reviewing positive law norm by doing library study. The results of the study show that Bank Indonesia and the Financial Services Authority do not overlap in carrying out their obligations, but in synergy and integrated among institutions by coordinating on all fronts in order to reach the areas and parties involved in financial and economic traffic, both with regulation side and supervision and guidance
