Hubungan Rasa Syukur dan Dukungan Sosial dengan Kebahagiaan pada Remaja di Gereja Mawar Sharon Sidoarjo

Abstract

Being happy is everyone's dream. For every individual, they must have a common goal, which is to live happily. This study aims to determine the correlations of gratitude and social support in adolescents in the Church of Mawar Sharon Sidoarjo. Quantitative research using incidental sampling techniques through questionnaires to 50 teenagers. This sample was analyzed using the Pearson correlation test. The results showed that there was a positive correlation between gratitude and happiness with r = 0.664 and a significance value of 0,000, a positive correlation between social support and happiness with r = 0.677 and a significance value of 0,000. The results also showed that gratitude and social support had a significant correlations with happiness simultaneously with R = 0.718 with the simultaneous contribution of the variable gratitude and social support for happiness amounted to 51.6% (R2 = 0.516), while 49.4 % of variables related to happiness but were not examined in this study. Adolescents need to maintain gratitude and social support they have by providing mutual assistance when there is a need and giving thanks for all the blessings that God has given in adolescents' lives in order to develop happiness in adolescents.
