PENYESUAIAN DIRI DAN DUKUNGAN SOSIAL MAHASISWA RANTAU DI UNIVERSITAS BUNGA : STUDI DESKRIPTIF

Abstract

Overseas student adjustment have different responses. Many factors underlie the emergence of such a response. The purpose of this study was to determine the cause of the difference in response to overseas students. Subjects in this study were three students from three regions parts of Indonesia, the western part of Indonesia, Indonesian Central Section, and Eastern Indonesia. The paradigm used in this study is the interpretive paradigm. The method used in this study were interviews and focused group discussion. The research instrument used is the interview guide refers to the theory of the adjustment included some questions that are relevant to the research objectives. This study obtain the result that the cause of differences in the way they adapt is social support. Therefore, the adjustment Overseas students say well, if the individual is able to balance the demands of the environment including being able to excel in college.
