Abstract
This study discusses legal protection against missuse of one time passwords as a means of digital banking transactions. The banking sector should maintain the confidentiality of customer data and ensure security in the digital transaction process. OTP code hacking can be categorized as bank negligence and is an irresponsible act that causes material loss to customers. Bank is responsible for the misuse of one time passwords that occur because customer data that should be closely guarded by the banking sector is actually exposed or known by other parties. The bank also has the obligation and responsibility to oversee the operational performance of the banking sector, so the bank remains responsible for the losses that have been caused, both materially and immaterial
