ANALISIS TATA LETAK FASILITAS DALAM MEMINIMASI MATERIAL HANDLING (STUDI KASUS : PERUSAHAAN ROTI MATAHARI)

Abstract

Facilities Layout play a important role in the production system. Eficiency and efectifness can be achieved, if the application in accordance with the layout of the facility layout design rules. Perusahaan Roti Matahari Pasuruan is a bread factory which using batch production metode for the production. This Company is yet to see profit opportunities that can be achieved when applying the theory of the layout planing facility. The plan layout according to the old building. So it is necessary to re-design the layout to minimize the material handling cost. There are many methods in designing plant layout, for this study case was using Systematic Layout Planing (SLP) method and material handling methode. The SLP procedure has been widely used over the last decade and has proven to be a useful technique in the factory to plan academically and practically. The difference in the distance and the cost of the various alternatives appear to be quantitatively. The finding result show that both of the layout alternative can give eficiency Rp 4.643.400,40 and Rp 5.203.201,40 for a year.
