Elementary school students are facing many learning subjects that need memory capability. Parents often complain because their children remember the learning materials just until the next day. One way to increase memory capability is to use music mnemonic. Music mnemonic is a method to memorize information with making that information to a song. This research is an experimental research with the aim to know the difference of memory on first grade elementary students based on the method to memorize with music mnemonic and without any mnemonic technique. In this research, researcher compared two homogeneous groups, one group of students memorize with music mnemonic and one group of students memorize without any mnemonic technique. There are 40 subjects aged six until eight years old. The result of the research shows that there is no difference of memory among students who memorize with music mnemonic with students who memorize without any mnemonic technique (p=0.192; p>0.05). This may be caused by the limitation of time to do the research, the individual uniqueness that influence the condition and subject attitude while collecting data, and the serial position effect that influence the data results. Further research may prepare an appropriate time to collect data and collect it individually.en_US
