Abstract
Organization needs employees who are willing to give performance that is exceeding their task. This behavior is called as organizational citizenship behavior. Organ (In Sumantri & Wiganarto, 2009) defines organizational citizhenship behavior as extra behavior which indirectly or explicitly recognized in a work system, and gives contribution to improve the effectiveness of organizational function. This research aims to know the influence of job satisfaction and organizatinal commitment towards organizational citizenship behavior among employees Of "Z" University in Surabaya. This research uses quantitative methods, using questionnaires to collect data. Questinnaires are consist of three questinnaire which are job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and organizational citizenship behavior. The reliability levels of job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and organizational citizenship behavior are 0.837, 0.850, and 0.875. Subject of this research are all of the emplees of "Z" University, as much as 39 subject. The result Showed that job satisfaction has its influence towards organizatinal citizenship behavior as much 31.7%. Job satisfaction and organizational commitment has its influence towards organizational citizenship behavior as much 39.4%, and work commitment organizational variable were excluded. Based on the result, it is expected that the job satisfaction and organizational commitment of the employees of university "Z" will be improved. It is highly suggested to improve the level of organizational commitment by creating a condusive atmosphere and environment, and also paying more attention pn the suppoting facilities.
