RANCANG BANGUN SISTEM INFORMASI HOTEL BERBASIS CLIENT SERVER
Abstract
The rapid development of information and technology has been reaching
almost every aspects in our society nowadays. Especially in the area of business,
implementation and control over technology has been one of many main factors to
gain advantages facingthe market competition. With automation, the processing of
information should be more effective and efficient and alsocan maximize the uses
of resources, increasing staffs performance and facilitate the decision making
process.
Dwi Putra Hotel is a medium scale hotel which is located at in Ende district,
East Nusa Tenggara province. With 48 bedrooms, this hotel becomes one of the
biggest hotel in Ende district. Unfortunately, the current system is still working
manually and not automated thus frequently makes the hotel runs in less effective
and less efficient order.
The solution to overcome the problems is to provide an application which
can manage hotel through automating the current system to a whole new system
using development life cycle method, technology based with client server concept.
This application will improve hotel services and also decreasing uncomplete
record due to staffs negligance as well as easier data management.
Based on trial, application can fulfilled the needs to manage hotel. The
application features are : user data management, category data management, room
data management, season data management, reservation process, guest data
management, checkin process, checkout process, restaurant service process,
laundry service process and report viewing process.
