ANALISIS FAKTOR-FAKTOR PERTUMBUHAN DAN STRATEGI PENGEMBANGAN UKM BERBASIS KLASTER (STUDI KASUS : SENTRA INDUSTRI BATIK JETIS SIDOARJO DAN SENTRA SEPATU WEDORO)
Abstract
SME (Small and Medium Enterprises) has a very enormous potential and
role in supporting national economics. However, their ability to develop the scale
of the enterprises is so limited. Thus, to develop SME - especially those located in
Center of Batik Industry Jetis Sidoarjo and Center of Shoes Industry Wedoro - it
is required to identify variables that affects the growth of SME itself .
The surrounding environment of an enterprise changes and evolves
continually. Therefore, enterprises should be concerned about its changing
environment and take a real action by formulating strategy according to the
development of its surrounding. Among the strategy formulating methods
available, CSSF (Contingent Strategic Success Formula) is one superior method
that has a systematic approach while concerning the development of environment.
Approach of CSSF itself is aimed to analyze the formula of strategy by combining
internal and external condition of an enterprise. More precisely, it measuresm
estimates, and predicts the condition of surrounding environment of an enterprise
in the present and future.
This research resulted in the understanding of strong and significant
relation of several factors that affects the growth of Center of Batik Industry Jetis
Sidoarjo: product differentiation, pressure from another institution, response
toward the changing environment, and resistance toward the changing technology.
There were also factors that relates strongly to the growth of Center of Shoes
Industry Wedoro: response toward the changing environment and enterprise’s
flexibility.
The score of environment turbulence, agrresivity, and responsivity of
enterprise for Center of Batik Industry Jetis Sidoarjo was 3.54, 3.22, and 3.50.
Meanwhile, the score obtained for Center of Shoes Industry Wedoro was 3.63,
3.13, and 3.03.
