PERANCANGAN ALAT UKUR MANUAL UNTUK ANTROPOMETRI DINAMIS
Abstract
Currently our laboratory has already equipped with static anthropometry measuring instrument, another addition of manual measurement anthropometry instrument is a logical approach to support activities within the laboratory. The purpose from this thesis is to design a manual dynamic anthropometric measure according to what the ergonomic laboratory need and determine the criteria of manual dynamic anthropometric measure.
The method being used is starting from developing concept, designing product, deciding on the right concept, and processing anthropometry data to determine final dimension of the measuring instrument. Data used as the basis for dimension of instrument is from documentation in Laboratory of Ergonomics Universitas Pelita Harapan Surabaya during 2010. There are several dimensions used to make the instrument: elbow – center of hand length, shoulder – elbow length, shoulder height, acromion height (sitting), buttock – knee length, and knee height. This dimensions are tested with adequacy test, normality test, uniform test, significance test and calculation of percentile.
The dynamic measurement anthropometry instrument can measure several dimensions: flexion of lower arm, extension and flexion of upper arm, flexion of leg and also flexion and extension of trunk. The criteria that used in design the instrument are results count is rigit, durability, variation of measuring, easy to use, safe to use, and also easy to move. The result show the dimension of trunk bar have size 68.7 cm, upper feet bar 46.6 cm, lower feet bar 40.3 cm, lower arm bar 18 cm, upper arm bar 22.7 cm, and slider bar of trunk bar 151.1 cm. Result obtained is being modified for the sake of design practicality.
