PERANCANGAN PRODUK TAS FITNESS DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE QUALITY FUNCTION DEPLOYMENT
Abstract
These recent years, many people start to realize the importance of health in life. Sport trend has become a part of Indonesian lifestyle nowadays and one of those sports is fitness. Every time doing exercise, many people will carry goods such as fitness shoes, clothes for change, water bottles, and others. Based on the pre survey held, the present fitness bag hasn’t fulfilled consumers’ need; therefore, a research about designing fitness bag is needed.
The purpose of this research is to identify the attributes of consumers’ needs, the important attributes of consumers’ needs, technical parameters of fitness bag, and to design a fitness bag which is suitable with consumers’ needs.
The data was collected using interview and spreading questionnaires to the respondents who wear fitness bag. The measurement was performed by distributing the questionnaires to 125 respondents. The data collected was processed using validity analysis, reliability analysis, and Quality Function Deployment method.
The result of the research was obtained from three dimensions of consumers’ needs which are product’s function, product’s design, and price. Based on these, the fifteen attributes of consumers needs are obtained. The most important attribute is separate place for dirty clothes and clean clothes. The research found five technical parameter priorities which are adding pockets on the right, left, and front part of the bag, creating adjustable suspender, using parasite as material inside the bag, cutting material according to patterns, and using black color as the material of the bag.
Fitness bag design which is suitable with the consumers’ needs is a bag with sling, black in color, and has a separate place among goods such as a place for clean and dirty clothes, a place for water bottle, and a different place for shoes.
