PENGARUH FAKTOR EKSTERNAL DAN INTERNAL TERHADAP KtrNERIA BANK (Studi Empiris Pada Bank Umum di BEI tahun 2007-24rc)

Abstract

Bank function as intermediaries between the providers of funds with who need of funds, requires banks to further improve its performance. The purpose of this research is to examine and analyze the influence of the external factors and internal factors to the financial performance of banks in Indonesia that were listed in Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI). The research was conducted by financial statements of the bank during 2007 to 2010. External factors such as inflation, interest rate, exchange rate, gross domestic product (GDP). Internal factors such as capital adequacy ratio (CAR), non-performing loan (NPL), the operational costs to operation income (BOPO), loan to deposit ratio (LDR) and size. The financial performance of bank measured with economic value added (EVA). Based on the result of the regression test of the research model, the variable GDP could not be included in the regression model and the other variable is accepted. Result of research that the variables CAR, NPL and size has positive and significant affect to performance financial of bank. The other variables are inflation, interest rate, exchange rate, BOPO and LDR has negative affect and not significant to financial performance of bank.
