dc.description.abstract | The success of a business can not be separated from its environmental aspect.
Every stage of growth resulted from internal and external factors. The existence
of external factors also plays important role in determining firms performance.
External factors covers variables outside the firms, inflation and BI rate, which
can’t be separated from other policies set by the government authorities under the
country official laws. This research is purposed to analyse the effect of external
factors toward performance of manufacturing firms listed in Indonesia Stock
Exchange for the period 2007-2010.
The sample in this research covers manufacturing firms that are listed in
Indonesia Stock Exchange, chosen using purposive sampling method and
analysed using multiple linear regression method. The result shows that inflation
and BI rate simultaneously have significant effect to ROA, ROE, and NPM.
Inflation in partial has positive but insignificant effect to ROA, ROE, and NPM ;
and BI-rate has negative and significant effect to ROA and NPM, but insignificant
to ROE. | en_US |
