dc.description.abstractBunga is a patient suffering breast cancer at stadium two and has been suffering for three years in the Indonesian Cancer Foundation Surabaya. Bunga is different from other breast cancer patients. Bunga usually seem to be alone, locks herself in her room, and never come out to meet others. Breast cancer can affect the meaning of the life for a cancer patient. Bunga’s dynamics appreciation on the meaning of life before and after breast cancer will be shown along with the description of stress and coping to stress the type of breast cancer patients. This study is a qualitative research using case study. The result shows that Bunga had a different appreciation of the meaning of life before cancer and after breast cancer. Suffering from cancer, Bunga experiences stress symptoms such as sadness, fear, and shuts herself in the room. Bunga copes with her stress through self control and positive reappraisal associated with religious coping, so when the stress attacks, Bunga immediately prays to make her heart and mind calm again.en_US
